Your Preferences & Confidentiality

Secured Event Attendance (S.E.A.) Privacy

Our platform includes a feature called S.E.A. — Secured Event Attendance, designed to enhance the personal security and privacy of event participants. When you attend an event using S.E.A., your attendance and related activity are handled with special privacy measures to prevent real-time tracking or exposure of your location.

Purpose of S.E.A.

The S.E.A. system is intended to:

  • Protect your physical safety by preventing others from knowing your exact location in real time.
  • Preserve your privacy by delaying the visibility of your event participation.
  • Ensure responsible data handling regarding event check-ins, attendance logs, and social visibility.

How It Works

When you check in or are marked as attending an event through S.E.A.:

  • Your attendance is recorded privately in our system but not displayed publicly on your profile or timeline in real time.
  • Your event participation becomes visible on your profile and public timeline only after you have left the event, as verified by your check-out action, event end time, or automatic system detection.
This delay helps ensure that no one can use your activity feed to infer your live location or attendance status during the event.

Data Collected During S.E.A. Attendance

During participation in S.E.A.-enabled events, we may collect:

  • Event check-in and check-out timestamps
  • Event ID and title
  • Member ID or account identifier
  • Device location (if permission is granted) — used only for verifying attendance and not for public display
All data is securely stored and processed solely for attendance verification and timeline synchronization purposes.

Security and Storage

S.E.A. attendance data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Location and timestamp data are accessible only to authorized system processes and not shared publicly or with other attendees in real time.
Once your event is displayed on your timeline (after the 5-hour security window), no live or location-based data is included — only general event details (e.g., event name, date, and your participation status).

User Control

While setting up you User Control, you may:

  • Opt out of automatic timeline posting for specific events.
  • Manually remove or hide past events from your timeline at any time.
  • Request deletion of S.E.A. attendance data by contacting our support team.
Please note that opting out of S.E.A. protection will result in your event attendance being shown in real time, which may reduce your privacy protection.

Our Commitment to Your Safety

The S.E.A. feature was created to prioritize user safety over social visibility. We believe event attendance should not compromise personal security, and all system functions supporting S.E.A. are built with privacy-by-design principles and in compliance with relevant data protection laws (such as GDPR and CCPA, where applicable).

Web Browser Security

Recommended Browsers

For the best, most secure experience with our Desktop App and website, we recommend using one of the following modern web browsers:

  • Apple Safari
  • Google Chrome
  • Microsoft Edge
  • Opera
These browsers are continuously updated to meet current web security standards, support modern encryption protocols, and ensure compatibility with our platform’s security features.

Older Browser Use

While you may technically access our platform using older browsers, such as legacy versions of Mozilla Firefox or other discontinued browsers, we do not recommend or guarantee proper functionality or full security compliance when doing so. Older browsers may:

  • Lack support for the latest encryption algorithms (TLS 1.3 and beyond)
  • Be more vulnerable to malware, phishing, and data interception
  • Fail to render privacy features or cookies securely
  • Prevent certain privacy or access-control mechanisms from functioning correctly
For this reason, using an up-to-date and supported browser is essential to maintain your privacy, protect your login credentials, and ensure encrypted data transmission.

Security and Privacy Commitment

Our platform relies on secure HTTPS connections, modern web standards (such as Content Security Policy (CSP) and Secure Cookies), and other safeguards that function best on updated browsers. By keeping your browser current, you help us:

  • Maintain a secure data exchange between your device and our servers
  • Prevent unauthorized access or session hijacking
  • Ensure proper application of cookie and session management policies
We encourage all users to regularly update their chosen browser and operating system to the latest version to guarantee ongoing protection and the most reliable user experience.
